Romain Durand, Research & Innovation Director, Transatel

Private 5G is a strong trend in the industry this year. However, private cellular networks are by design isolated from mobile carriers’ public radio networks which may limit their adoption and potential. According to OMDIA’s Private LTE and 5G Network Enterprise Survey Insight (October 2021), 75% of enterprises want hybrid public-private 5G solutions. They indeed need globally scalable connectivity to enable mobile IoT use cases while keeping full control over the network, independently from MNOs.
